Hon’ble Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Vayalar Ravi today addressed Air India ’s 1st overseas stations Sales & Marketing Conference after merger, being held at Hotel Centaur IGI Airport . New Delhi from 24th to 25th November 2011.The meet was attended by Dr. Syed Nasim Zaidi, Secretary Civil Aviation and Shri Rohit Nandan, CMD Air India .
Speaking on the occasion Hon`ble minister commended the Station managers for their efforts to increase the revenues and market share of Air India . The Minister stressed the need to implement the guidelines of GOM and its Turn Around Plan to bring back the old glory of Air India . The minister further reiterated to extend best co operation towards customer needs and their facilities by overseas Air India offices, and advised managers to maintain close interaction with local groups, Tourism boards and associations.
The Hon’ble Minister also emphasised the need of all employees’ to work together for company’s turnaround. He also said the government is of the opinion that Air India can perform better provided all section of the employees including the management work together.
“My thinking, my decision is to get Air India out of present situation and only you can do that. Your result would help to pay your salaries and to repay the debts. I appeal to all of you to see that Air India provide the best service, on time performance and best connections.”
CMD and Secretary, Civil Aviation also suggested various inputs and recommendations to get more passengers and better revenues.
