Children and Minors Traveling to UAE

General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (Immigration) has notified Implementation of the following procedure effective 1st June, 2018, with regard to travel of Children & Minors traveling to UAE.

  • All minors (18 years and below) would need to have an authorization form filled from their parents with relevant details of their address abroad and in the UAE and information about who would be receiving them in the UAE (in case they are not traveling with a parent).
  • In case the minor is traveling with another family member, an authorization letter from the parents or the guardians is still required.
  • Airlines staff or Data can escort the Minors through Immigration provided that the above-mentioned form is filled and the process to hand them over to the receiving person is duly followed.
  • As a last resort, the minor would indeed be deported if Immigration suspects an illegal activity and the information provided are not sufficient to address that. In which case, the normal INAD process and subsequent fines would be applied.
  • To avail this service Handling Charge of AED 165 or equivalent amount in INR will be levied to/from Dubai Airport, the mandatory formalities should be completed. To download the applicable form click here or it can be downloaded from the download section on our website and submitted as a set of 3 copies to the nearest Air India office, a minimum of 3 working days prior to the scheduled travel.
