Effective 01st August 2018 a fee of OMR 4 PER PIECE will be charged at Muscat International Airport, Salallah Airport and Sohar Airport for irregular shaped and out of gauge (OOG) / Super out-of-gauge (SOOG) baggage.

All irregular shaped baggage consisting of blanket and rope wrapped luggage are subject to charges. Blanket and rope wrapped, troublesome at security check if passenger is required to open will be charged. Baggage which has no flat surface, rolls out of baggage trolley's.

Out-of-gauge (OOG) or Super Out-of-gauge (SOOG) Baggage is basically baggage that is too large, too light, too heavy, too fragile, does not have at least one flat surface, or can damage or reduce the system capacity

• Baggage does not meet minimum dimensions of 30cm x 8cm x 7.5cm)
• Baggage which has dimensions (length+width+height) which exceeds (100cm+75cm+60cm) and (Weighs less than 7kg)
• Consists of TVs, flat panel displays with a screen size of more than 43 inches (up to 55 inch flat TV can be carried on Air India services ex Muscat).
